We have opened up this activity to include our student crafters in the area! If you are a student vendor and would like to sell crafts, you can now register to do so! A parent or guardian must sign the application taking responsibility for you, and they must be present with the student for the craft show to oversee the student booth. The application fee is just $20. For more details, see Mrs. Smith in the front office or have a parent call (859) 282-3240.
We are excited to announce our First Annual Spring Craft Show at Ockerman Middle School scheduled for Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. We will offer a set up time, from 4-7 pm on Friday, March 16 and/or 7:30-8:30 am Saturday morning. We will have breakfast and lunch items available for purchase at the concession stand with proceeds supporting our school cheer team. Box Tops
OMS will once again be collecting Box Tops for Education! This fundraiser includes Box Tops, but also Campbell's soup labels and a whole bunch of other products. These can be turned in to homeroom teachers or the front office. Follow the link below for more information about what products are participating. We raised over $500 last year for OMS with this fundraiser, so please help us out by sending them in!!!!

Becoming a Chaperone
If you would like to volunteer to help with activities at school or chaperone field trips, you will need to complete and return the Youth Leadership Request form (also known as a Background Check form).

At OMS we are fortunate enough to have Mrs. Bacelieri, who puts together group discounts for us with Broadway Across America. You can get tickets at discounted rates, and this year's offerings include Beauty and the Beast, Wicked, Billy Elliot, West Side Story, The Addams Family, Mama Mia! and Les Miserables! Purchase your favorite Coca-Cola products to get codes (they’re on you aren’t a member). Enter codes to collect points – choose “Donate to Your School” from the six ways to spend points. Find our school by Zip Code. When our school’s page comes up, enter the amount of points you’d like to give, and then click “Donate.” Go to mycokerewards.com/schools today to donate your points and help make great things happen for our school this year.
Student Email
Student email has been activated! To log in at home, students need to use their school login followed by @stu.boone.kyschools.us to access their accounts. The password is the same as it is in school. For most students it will look something like this

Once logged in, students can send and receive email, upload files to their SkyDrive (which can be accessed from home and school), update their user profiles and add contacts to their address books. To email teachers, students can find teacher email addresses to the left of the home page where it says "Contact Faculty/Staff." To email other students, they can type in the email address of the student, which will follow the same pattern as their own (firstname.lastname@stu.boone.kyschools.us)

Students who require medicine to be administered at school must have a form on file with the school. To read the general instructions for adminstering medicine at school click here.

We are always accepting Box Tops, so keep them coming! Any student wanting to turn them in should bring them to their homeroom teacher, who will pass them along to the PTSA.
Dedicated in 1965, Ockerman Middle School has a history that is longer than any of the other middle schools in Boone County. We received a total remodel in 2005 with the addition of a new gymnasium, science wing, and computer labs. Our 47 member faculty provides daily instruction for approximately 850 students. Our middle schoolers attend Boone County HS, Larry A. Ryle HS, and Randall C. Cooper HS. We are glad you've chosen to visit us. Welcome!
